Our areas of expertise:

Relationship problems – advising on the range of issues that can arise on separation for cohabiting couples, including financial, property and children issues, and obtaining court relief if necessary.

Marriage breakdown – advising on and obtaining a divorce, and dealing with the finances on your behalf. Also advising on separation agreements, which can be an effective alternative to divorce where you are not sure, or there may be religious or other reasons why you do not wish to divorce.

Civil partnerships – advising on the implications and on the range of issues that can arise on civil partnership breakdown, including all financial and property issues.

Domestic violence – we can respond efficiently in emergencies to advise you and obtain court orders as necessary.

Children – disputes between parents, grandparents, or siblings, about issues relating to residence, contact, change of name, specific issues relating to schooling or upbringing of a child, parental rights and removal from the U.K.

Care proceedings – include actions taken by social services for the protection of children, or court proceedings for the removal of children from their parents, or in relation to special guardianship applications concerning long-term planning for a child’s residence away from their home. We can advise and assist you before court proceedings, attend child protection conferences and represent you in court proceedings.

Adoption – Adoption and Special Guardianship orders, whether you are the applicant or the parent opposing the order, advising on the relevance and consequences of these orders, or making the application.
